Revenue shows how big a company is. Net income, what is left after all costs, interest and taxes, shows how much it earns. This list ranks the ten companies with the highest net income in the fiscal year covered by the Fortune Global 500 2026 edition, published in July 2026. For most companies that is calendar 2025.
US technology companies take the top four places, and each of them earned at least $100 billion. Saudi Aramco, the most profitable company in the previous edition, fell to fifth as oil prices dropped. Nvidia and TSMC are both in the top ten, reflecting the boom in AI chips.

Companies are ranked by net income (profit) in US dollars for the fiscal year covered by the Fortune Global 500 2026 edition, published 28 July 2026. Fortune's edition uses fiscal years ending on or before 31 March 2026, which is calendar 2025 for most companies, the year to January 2026 for Nvidia, to September 2025 for Apple, and to June 2025 for Microsoft. Fortune's published profit table could not be opened during the 2026-10-18 audit. Alphabet's $132.17 billion is the figure Fortune reported. The other nine figures are each company's reported net income attributable to shareholders for the same fiscal year, from company filings and results releases. TSMC reports in New Taiwan dollars, and its US-dollar figure is a conversion, so Fortune's figure may differ slightly. The order matches what Fortune published: Alphabet first, Nvidia second, Alphabet, Nvidia, Apple and Microsoft each above $100 billion, and TSMC the only company from Greater China in the top ten by profit. Aramco is ranked on reported net income, not its adjusted figure. Next below the top ten is Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, at CNY 370.77 billion (about $51-52 billion).
