How we ranked this

Films are ranked by lifetime worldwide theatrical gross in U.S. dollars, highest first, as shown in the Highest-grossing films table of Wikipedia's 2025 in film article (revision of October 5, 2026), which cites Box Office Mojo and The Numbers. Only films first released in 2025 count; Wicked (November 2024) is excluded. Figures are nominal and rounded to the nearest $0.1 million. One caveat: Wikipedia builds Ne Zha 2's figure from Chinese tracker Entgroup's China total ($2,155.69 million) plus an estimated $60 million from other markets, while The Numbers lists it at about $2.00 billion; Ne Zha 2 is first by either figure. The other nine figures are as the table gives them. There are no ties.
